Choosing your Payment Mode

The hosted payment form that your customers see comes in 3 flavours or modes. The mode determines how many fields your customers must complete in order to complete a transaction. The mode is set by you in the initial Connect POST request.

Use the simulator to explore each mode to find the one that best suits your checkout needs. Here’s a brief outline:

Mode = "payonly"

• Transactions require a minimum number of fields, just the customer card details
• The customer sees a card form only (no billing or shipping details)
• Supports 3D secure, if required

Mode = "payplus"

• Transactions require card and billing information - suitable for AVS
• The customer sees card and billing information form fields
• Supports 3D secure, if required

Mode = "fullpay"

• Transactions require the most amount of fields: card, billing and shipping details
• The customer sees card, billing and shipping details form fields
• Supports 3D secure, if required
